Dr Chakkalakal is an experienced and compassionate General Practitioner who is passionate about providing holistic, patient-centred care. She believes that great healthcare starts with listening and takes the time to understand each person’s individual needs, values and circumstances. Her warm, approachable manner helps patients of all ages feel comfortable and supported, whether they are attending for a routine check-up or navigating more complex health concerns.
She enjoys caring for individuals and families across all stages of life, with a particular interest in children’s health, preventive care and helping patients achieve long-term wellbeing. Dr Chakkalakal values building lasting relationships with her patients and empowering them to make informed decisions about their health.
Dr Chakkalakal graduated from the University of Bristol Medical School in 2002. After gaining broad experience in hospital medicine, she completed her General Practice training in London. Her background includes ENT, Urgent Care and ICM including time with the Children’s Acute Transport Service. This extensive experience has given her confidence in managing both acute and chronic medical conditions and complements her holistic approach to general practice.
Alongside her clinical work, Dr Chakkalakal has a longstanding passion for medical education and has taught medical students and healthcare professionals in both the UK and internationally, including delivering simulation training in India.
Having enjoyed a cosmopolitan upbringing—being born in Germany, attending an international school in Saudi Arabia, and later moving to the UK—Dr Chakkalakal has developed a deep appreciation for different cultures and backgrounds. Outside of work, she loves travelling, spending time with her beloved godchildren, exploring nature, and enjoying the arts and cultural events.
