Susie Thompson

Nurse Practitioner

Susie Thompson graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Nursing in 2001 and a Master of Nursing Science (Nurse Practitioner) in 2012. She is an experienced Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about providing comprehensive women’s health care across the lifespan, with a supportive and collaborative patient-centred approach.

Her additional qualifications include a Graduate Certificate in Women’s Health Medicine from the University of New South Wales and the FPAA National Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health, as well as a Masters in Emergency Nursing from Griffith University. She is experienced in IUD insertion and removal procedures for Mirena, Kyleena and Copper, as well as Implanon insertion and removal.

Susie has a special interest in helping women manage heavy and/ or painful periods, endometriosis care and providing optimal analgesic options for procedural pain relief. She believes knowledge is power when it comes to achieving optimal health for women and enjoys working with her patients to educate, inform and explore suitable management options for their women’s healthcare concerns.

In her free time, Susie is usually running around after her two very active young boys, enjoying working up a good sweat in a cycle class or savouring a moment of peace over a quality cup of coffee.
